Why these permissions? Read-only access to Google Calendar is all that's needed. No write permissions required — this is purely reading your schedule and delivering information to you via Dispatch.

Workflow Steps

1

Add the Google Calendar connector

In Cowork Settings → Connectors, find Google Calendar and authenticate. Grant read-only access to your calendar.

2

Create briefing-config.md

In your Cowork project folder, create briefing-config.md with your preferred briefing format, key meetings to highlight, and how you want to organize your prep notes.

3

Set up a 7am scheduled task

Open Cowork and type /schedule. Configure a daily task to run at 7am that reads your Google Calendar, lists all meetings for today, includes prep suggestions, and pulls top 3 tasks from briefing-config.md.

4

Pair with Dispatch for phone delivery

Enable Dispatch on your phone and subscribe to the morning briefing task. You'll get the brief texted to your phone at 7am every day.

5

Review and refine the prompt

After the first few days, adjust the prompt to match what works best for you. Add context like timezone, meeting duration display, or custom formatting.

Cowork Prompt Pack

Cowork-ready
Read my Google Calendar using the Calendar connector. Compile a morning briefing with: (1) today's full schedule with meeting times and titles, (2) prep suggestions for my top meetings, and (3) my top 3 tasks from briefing-config.md. Format as a message I can scan in under 2 minutes. Do not modify any calendar events.
Works best when you limit Cowork to specific folders and verify before destructive actions.
